Logan and Henry’s Bloomsbury Farm wedding in Smyrna, TN (just 30 miles from Nashville) was an intimate, cozy, nature-inspired celebration rooted in personal meaning and shared passions. As their planner and friend, I had the honor of designing an experience that reflected who they are down to the very last detail.

Getting Ready (and a Special Surprise)
The morning began with the women of both families getting ready together at Bloomsbury Farm. To make the day even more memorable, we brought in Oxford Hat Bar to create custom hats on-site! Each woman designed her own, which they wore throughout the evening. It was a fun, stylish way to kick off the day and added such a personal flair to the celebration.

Logan wore an elegant white gown from Elle James Bridal adorned with delicate floral appliqués. Henry complemented her look with a blue suit and matching tie, keeping the palette rich yet understated.

Locally Grown Florals + Bold Fall Tones
We wanted the floral design to feel fresh and unexpected, leaning into a palette of punchy purples and reds that reflected Logan’s vibrant personality. Sourcing directly from Bloomsbury’s flower fields, we brought in cosmos, zinnias, and ranunculus to complement the wedding’s focal artwork, a painting by Inslee Fariss that also inspired the paper goods. The invitation suite paired this artwork with branded leather details, tying everything back to Logan and Henry’s shared love of intentional design.
To balance the barn’s warm wood tones, we layered in black as a grounding color. The result was a warm, cozy setting with just the right touch of drama — a fall aesthetic that felt entirely theirs.

Logan + Henry’s Bloomsbury Farm Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place outdoors on the lawn at Bloomsbury Farm, surrounded by the peaceful, open landscape. With only their closest loved ones in attendance, Logan and Henry’s ceremony was heartfelt and deeply personal.
Guests were greeted with programs at each seat, wrapped in a custom-embossed leather monogram. It was a small touch that added so much warmth and cohesion to the day.
Fall-inspired florals framed the entire space, spilling from arrangements that felt natural and abundant. At the center of the wedding ceremony space stood a custom wooden pointed arch, where Logan and Henry exchanged vows under the open sky.

Bloomsbury Farm Wedding Reception: A Culinary Experience
Bloomsbury Farm provided the ideal backdrop for their fall wedding. As a working farm with farm-to-table cuisine and locally grown florals, it aligned beautifully with their values and style.
Food is deeply meaningful to the newlyweds, so a fresh farm setting was a natural choice for these two. As a pastry chef, Logan brings intentionality to every meal, and Henry shares her passion for cooking and hosting. The menu became one of the most exciting parts of the planning process!
We partnered with Juniper Green to create a four-course, fall-inspired dinner with a passed appetizer during cocktail hour. Every course was to die for, and each was made all the better by our sommelier’s expertly-paired wines.
One standout dish? The baked butternut squash orecchiette with crispy breadcrumbs and pecorino! It was so good that the newlyweds froze a portion for their one-year anniversary. *chef’s kiss*
They also served pumpkin white chocolate tarts with crème brûlée for dessert. Rather than a traditional wedding cake, Logan wanted small, thoughtful bites, each paired perfectly with dessert wine.

Some Final Thoughts
As both a planner and a friend, designing Logan and Henry’s wedding was a uniquely personal joy. Knowing their tastes so well meant I could plan with confidence and clarity, and they trusted me to bring their vision to life without hesitation.
The couple later shared, “Our designer, our planner, our everything… She’s also a dear friend and the most talented wedding planner I know. She knows my taste so well that she put everything together and all I had to do was say absolutely yes.”
